How Do You Choose a DriveTest Centre?
Ontario has DriveTest centres across the province. For Vaughan and Toronto area students, the closest centres are Downsview, Metro East (Scarborough), and Port Union. Each centre has different wait times and route characteristics. Downsview tends to have shorter wait times for bookings. Metro East has busier traffic during the test. Consider which environment you feel most comfortable in.
How Can You Get an Earlier Appointment?
If the earliest available date is weeks or months away, check back frequently. Cancellations open up spots regularly, especially in the week before test dates. Check the website early in the morning when cancelled slots tend to appear. Some students also check multiple test centres to find the earliest availability.
How Do You Reschedule or Cancel?
According to DriveTest Ontario, you can reschedule or cancel your road test online up to 48 hours before the appointment. Log in to the DriveTest website with your licence number and confirmation number. If you cancel within 48 hours, you may forfeit the test fee. Plan ahead and only book when you feel ready.
