Popular DriveTest centres, particularly those in the GTA, can fill up quickly. During peak periods such as summer and early fall, it is common for the next available appointment at a busy centre to be 6 to 10 weeks out. Booking as far in advance as possible gives you the most choice in date, time, and centre.

The easiest way to book is through the DriveTest website at drivetest.ca. Create or log into your account, select your test type (G2 or G), choose a centre, and pick from available time slots. Payment is required at the time of booking. You can also call 1-888-570-6110 to book by phone, though online booking is generally faster.

If your preferred centre has no available dates within a reasonable timeframe, you have a few options. Check neighbouring centres for earlier availability. Check back regularly as cancellations do open up slots. Alternatively, consider centres in smaller cities that are often less booked. Use the time to continue practicing so you are fully prepared whenever your date arrives.
