How to Book a G Road Test in Ontario

You can book your G road test in Ontario online at drivetest.ca or by calling DriveTest at 1-888-570-6110. You must have held your G2 licence for at least 12 months before you are eligible. The G road test fee is approximately $91.25 and must be paid when booking.

Eligibility: Check Before You Book

Before booking your G road test, confirm you meet the eligibility requirements. You must have held a valid G2 licence for a minimum of 12 months. Your G2 must not be expired or suspended. You must also have a valid Ontario address on file with the Ministry of Transportation. If your G2 is about to expire, book your G test before it lapses to avoid having to restart the graduated licensing process.

Choosing the Right DriveTest Centre

You can take your G road test at any DriveTest centre in Ontario, not just the one closest to you. GTA centres include Downsview, Etobicoke, Port Union, Scarborough, and Metro East. Some centres have reputations for more straightforward test routes. Ask your driving instructor which centre they recommend based on the route and highway access. Book early, as popular centres can fill up weeks in advance.
